About Us -- Sharrel and Dorothy's roots are generations deep in Utah. Sharrel's family is from Heber City and Dorothy's from Kaysville. Sharrel graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration. He served on active duty as a pilot in the Air Force for eight years, then brought his family back to Utah. For the next few years, he worked for Arthur Young and Company, CPAs as an auditor and accountant, and then launched his own CPA practice.  Sharrel and Dorothy have eight children (one girl, seven boys) and 14 grandchildren.     He also resumed his military career as a pilot in the Utah Air National Guard. After multiple, lengthy military activations for Desert Storm and other conflicts, and after leaving a young CPA practice twice, Sharrel went to work full-time in the ANG. He continued a smaller CPA practice, primarily in tax, accounting,and consulting. Sharrel's military career took him to many interesting, beautiful places, and sometimes to places more exciting than beautiful. He retired from the ANG in 2004, and expanded the scope of his CPA practice to full-service accounting, payroll, tax, business management and consulting services. Sharrel and his family have lived in the beautiful Kamas valley since 1988. All of their children are graduates of South Summit. They love the people, peace and beauty of this high-mountain country. The family is active in various community activities, primarily through church and Scouting. Both Sharrel and Dorothy are Silver Beavers and have served on numerous Wood Badge courses. Six of their sons are Eagle Scouts. Two children are educators, one a professional photographer, another in business and an aspiring politician. One son is a top-of-his-class Master Sergeant in the US Marine Corp (and has had six combat tours in the Middle-East). Three are in school - one studying to be a physical therapist / athletic trainer, another a computer engineer, and one an unknown.  Six sons have been on missions for their church - two in Russia, two in Ukraine, and two in Italy. Sharrel, Dorothy and the family have been greatly blessed throughout their lives. Their family creed is to serve and give back to society more than we receive.
